Day 1 MACUSHLA HOUSE, Nairobi
Depart from London Heathrow International with British Airways daylight flight to Nairobi. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the old world charm and modern comforts of this delightful garden hotel set in the forested outskirts of Nairobi).BB
DAY 2 TORTILIS CAMP, Amboseli National Park
You will be collected at 06h30 and transferred to Wilson airport to catch the 07h30 Air Kenya scheduled flight to Amboseli National park. On arrival at 0815 you will be met by your driver guide and taken to the camp. (FB)
DAY 3 TORTILIS CAMP
With breathtaking views of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, here one will find excellent cuisine and luxuriously appointed tents with en-suite bathrooms. Kids and parents can relax in the cool waters of the pool, set in a verdant acacia grove. Game drives and bush walks with the Masai Warriors will entertain the young at heart. (FB)
DAY 4 SABUK, Laikipia
Depart on Air Kenya schedule at 0830 back to Wilson Airport and here connect with the 0915 Air Kenya to Nanyuki where you will meet your private charter to Sabuk. Your driver / guide will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to the lodge.
Set in the remote landscape of Northern Kenya, one can choose to stay in the lodge and or fly camp walking with camels through the bush. Watching the wildlife and big game on foot or from a saddle is a real delight.
Traditional camp is set up by your Samburu trackers, and a return to nature to without a vehicle is an adventure for everyone. Your trained guide will share his knowledge of bush craft, fauna and flora with you throughout your stay. (FB, all drinks except champagne)
DAYS 5 & 6 SABUK, Laikipia - Optional fly camp with Camels Trekking
One of these days will be spent walking and or riding with camels, returning at dusk to a fully hosted fly camp set along the dramatic gorges of the Ewas Nyiro River. The trek is easy and easy and good for inquisitive family groups wishing to learn more about bush craft and its natural inhabitants at close quarters.
The other day will be spent at the lodge exploring the hills nearby for wildlife on foot, perhaps spending a leisurely afternoon swimming in the cool waters of the river below the lodge. (FB, all drinks except champagne)
DAY 7 THE MARA BUSH CAMP, Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip to connect with your private charter to Nanyuki, and here connect with the 1000 Air Kenya scheduled service to the Masai Mara. Your driver guide will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to camp with game viewing en-route.
Here camp is set in a prime wildlife area and your hosts and Masai trackers will accompany you on game drives and walks, learn how to make fire from sticks, recognize lion and elephant tracks and share the cultural traditions of the neighbouring Masai tribes who live alongside the ubiquitous wildlife found all around our camp. DAYS 8 & 9 THE MARA BUSH CAMP
Enjoy the spectacular game viewing experience with full days exploring this vast reserve. Your hosts in camp serve delicious home cooked north Italian cuisine based on the Cheli family recipes. Game drives, bush breakfasts, sundowners and bush walks makes this an unforgettable safari. (FB, all drinks except champagne)
DAY 10 DEPARTURE
After a last game drive in the Masai Mara, catch the 11:00 Air Kenya flight back to Nairobi. A Cheli & Peacock driver will transfer you to your Nairobi hotel or to the international airport to connect with the British Airways evening flight back to London Heathrow International.
