Victoria Falls
Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya – ‘the smoke that thunders’, and renamed Victoria Falls by David Livingstone after Queen Victoria during his travels there. One of the most spectacular sights in the world, the Falls were deservedly designated a World Heritage site in 1989.

The mighty Zambezi forces it’s way to The Falls where Zimbabwe and Zambia meet, up to 500,000 cubic meters of water can flow over the gorge along seven distinct waterfalls when the river is in full flood.
Livingstone, named after the explorer, is the town that has developed on the Zambian side of the Falls. Quite a busy and commercial town with many local business and banks and gateway to the start of your safari.
