Udzungwa Mountains National Park

Udzungwa Mountains National Park is one of the smallest wildlife areas in Tanzania. Part of the southern circuit, most visitors’ use this area for hiking along the mountain ranges.

The vegetation here is rich and lush, due to the heavy rainfall in the area, leading to a swell in the rivers flowing in the great Rufiji River. However, the highlight of the park is that it is now considered to be one of the top 10 places in Africa for real bird enthusiasts with local endemic species of Udzungwa partridge, and rufous-winged sunbird.
