Tarangire is one of the smaller more compact parks set around the Tarangire River which cuts it's way through the park and is the main source of water providing spectacular game viewing during the dry season.

The park has many predators such as lions and leopards with a great highlight are the thousands of elephants to be found in the park, who in the dry season game congregate along the river having migrated back from as far as the Masai Mara.

When to go? Best time is June to September, although accessible all year round.
