Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Without doubt one of the most famous landmarks of Tanzania with the Ngorongoro Crater at the heart. At 259 square kilometers, 610 metres deep, this is the largest unbroken caldera in the world, playing host to an abundance of wildlife that are permanent residents, making for great game viewing all year round. On the floor of the crater, you find a natural lake home to thousands of flamingo, countless plains game and impressively the Big Five.
