Panorama Route

The Panorama Route is world renowned for its stunning beauty and scenic viewpoints. It is the area where the highveld meets the escarpment leading down to the lowveld towards Kruger National Park and Mozambique in the distance.

The Blyde River Canyon drops a thousand metres into the heavily wooded valley, which stretches for miles, offering the visitor stunning views from such well-named vantage points as God's Window, Wonder View, The Pinnacle and The Three Rondavels. There are spectacular waterfalls, meandering river and mountain streams in this lush oasis of tranquillity.

At Bourkes Luck Potholes, you will find unique rock formations caused by years of river erosion. Nearby Pilgrims Rest is a picturesque former mining village where gold was discovered in 1873 and is now the whole village is a national monument and museum.
