Swaziland, independent since 1968, is one of the few monarchies left in Africa and is ruled by His Majesty King Mswati III. The country has a long and varied history, with power won and lost in battle over many generations.
Access to Swaziland, may be made through any of twelve border posts,with all four corners of the country accessible by tarred road or by flying into the international airport Matsapha.

Some of the highlights that draw visitors to the country are Hlane Royal Game Reserve, Mkhaya Game Reserve, Mliwane Wildlife sanctuary, the famous arts and craft industry thriving in the towns and villages, the huge numbers of bird species recorded in the many parks and reserve, game viewing and of course the warm and friendly welcome extended to all visitors.
Activities available include trekking in several of the beautiful national parks, Malalotja being particularly impressive. Horse riding trails, game viewing, white water refting, caving and abseiling.
