Ten luxury thatched chalets perch on the riverbank, open-fronted to enhance the vista across the river. There are two honeymoon rooms.

The main building houses the lounge, dining room and an interesting library with a variety of books and parlour games. The verandah is the focal point - a comfortable area from which to take in the stunning view, enjoy afternoon tea or relax with a book.

The swimming pool has a spectacular view across the river, the perfect place for a sundowner.

Dinners are an elegant affair - a good time to share stories and hear a few tall tales from the lodge’s host, Peter Jones. After dinner, if the mood arises, a moonlit game of croquet may be on the cards.

The River Club was voted as one of the 20 best hotels in the world by Fodors and was also voted by Harpers and Queen as one of the World "Most Luxurious" Action Spots.

Activities include trips to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, fishing and sundowner boat trips, trips to historical Livingstone and local villages and schools, game drives to Mosi-oa-Tunya national park.

The following can also be arranged horse riding, massage, full day & half day canoeing, white water rafting, bungi jumping, helicopter and microlight flights, elephant back safaris, river boarding, visits to the Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls.
