Ruaha River Lodge occupies a unique and priviledged position along the banks of this great river and blends seamlessly into its surroundings.

Game is drawn to the river from the neighbouring hills and guests can witness the great wildlife dramas unfold from the comfort and protection of their self-contained natural stone and thatch banda. For a relaxing day you can stay sitting on your verandah with a cold drink and wait for the game to come to you.

At the lodge you are hosted by Peter & Sarah Fox. Having spent a couple of decaded living in Ruaha, they are old hands, and together with with their team of guides, have an unrivalled knowledge of the park and its wild inhabitants.

The best time for game viewing is during the dry season from June until December when wildlife converges on the dwindling water resources. This is also the coolest time of year with temperatures starting to rise from September onwards.
