Cool healthy mountain air, evenings around a log fire, trout fishing, horse riding and stunning scenery are just a few of the reasons for visiting the Highland Fishing Lodge high up on the Rift Valley escarpment and discovering a different aspect of the African bush.

Just nine log cabins are available as either double or family rooms overlooking the lake and golf course. After a days exertion, a long hot soak is just what is needed before a sundowner on the bar balcony before moving inside to sit around the roaring log fire. Enjoy a sense of freedom to roam by foot, car, and mountain bike or on horseback. You will be welcomed with smiles and waves wherever you go.

The Highlands are accessible at all times of year. The dry season runs from May until December with long rains from December to February and short rains (drizzle) from February to May. The temperature during the winter months of June and July can be quite refreshing especially at nighttime, so it is advisable to take some warmer clothing.
