The three lodges, Ivory Lodge, River Lodge and the 1933 Lodge cater for particular needs of guests. There is also the Chalkley Tree House for a romantic and secluded night under the stars.

Ivory Lodge
This lodge has 6 luxury air-conditioned villas each with separate lounge area, heated swimming pool, private viewing deck and luxury open-plan en-suite facilities including indoor and outdoor shower. This is 6 star luxury in the bush and the lodge was voted third best hotel in the world by Tatler magazine amongst the top 101 hotels 2006/7 listing. With breathtaking views over the Sabi River and excellent game viewing, this lodge is ideal for those wanting luxury and privacy.

River Lodge
River Lodge is the soul of Lion Sands and is located overlooking the Sabi River with two swimming pools, River Island Viewing Deck, bird hide and health spa. There are 18 luxurious thatched bedrooms with air coonditioning and en-suite bathroom facilities with indoor and outdoor showers.

1933 Lodge
The 1933 Lodge has been designed with families in mind and comprises of 4 luxury suites and a separate children's dormitory sleeping a maximum of 8 children, where kids can opt to join in together and be under the supervision of a trained au-pair. Each suite is air-conditioned and has luxury en-suite facilities with indoor and outdoor shower, as well as floating bath.

Chalkley Tree House
A unique tree house has been built at the site where Guy Aubrey Chalkley originally climbed the trees to set up camp away from predators. The treehouse is a safe and secure room on a raised platform in the trees where guests can opt to spend a night of luxury in the wild beneath the stars.

Guests are taken to the treehouse at sunset, where drinks and a delicious picnic dinner await them. They then enjoy the hours of African dusk relaxing and absorbing the beauty and sounds of the bushveld as it transforms from day to night, before turning in for slumber beneath the stars. As dawn breaks, guests are collected by their ranger for a morning game drive, followed by a delicious bush breakfast at one of the many animal and bird hides.

In the treehouse, a bush bedroom is set up to accommodate up to two guests for the night with secure access and as many of the room comforts as are practically possible.
