This beautiful and peaceful reserve is a nature lovers dream. Meander around the many self-guided walks on the reserve, or simply don your binoculars and observe the passing wildlife from the comfort of your sunlounger.

Accommodation in the lodge is in nine well appointed bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The lodge also has a comfortable lounge and dining room, though outdoor dining is available by the large swimming pool.

Game drives into the Umfolozi Game Reserve last up to ten hours in search of the 'Big 5', or up to 8 hours on the cultural Zulu drive through rural Zululand and off the beaten track to visit Mangeni Waterfalls and Bushmen Paintings at Qudeni. There are also birdwatching drives through the forest with a picnic at a site which has a magnificent view of the Tugela Valley, as well as all-day Battlefield tours visiting such sites as Rorke's Drift and Islandlwana.
